Major work on Swiftstone underway! |
||
Swiftstone has been established to celebrate and inform about the heritage and use of the River Thames for more information about who we are and what we do click here or use the buttons to explore the site. . The Thames tug Swiftstone is a symbol of the heritage of the Thames as a working environment and the potential that the river offers London for the future. We began her restoration and operation in the Spring of 2001, and she is now becoming an active member of the river community again, taking part in events like the annual Barge Driving Race and Siren Space for the Thames Festival. If you would like to be involved in this, or any of our other projects get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you. We hope you will find plenty of things to interest you here - some serious - some fun - the site is growing and developing all the time so bookmark us now and come back soon to see what's new.
