NEW Thames Tales NEW

Major work on Swiftstone underway!

Now that Swifty is finally 'ours' she is sitting comfortably on the foreshore at Wood Wharf... can't stay for long though as the developers will move in some time soon we understand... (see the Updates page for more about the day she moved)

There are lots of shots here - both inside and out - be patient while they load

coming in and climbing aboard

paying attention to The Lady's Bottom

and her Front End

the starting gear (above) and its air cylinders (below)

more insides - (too technical for me call Reg 020 8310 5167 if you need more info Lx)

These shots were taken by Alan (our 'resident photographer') early in 2001
They show that there's still a little life left on the working Thames

Swiftstone, looking a little sorry for herself at Durham Wharf

Recruit, still working & being 'looked after' at Cory's yard

what a gorgeous shot of Regain with the Thames like a mill pond!

Here, at last, are the wonderful photos of the 2000 Barge Driving Race, taken by Alan Boakes from the Massey Shaw on that lovely summy day last June! Click on a picture for the full image, but remember they're all copyright so personal use only please

We're also working on some 'panorama' shots which will let you look uo and down the river or around the boats on the foreshore - you'll see them here soon !
