NEW Thames Tales NEW

Major work on Swiftstone underway!

The Swiftstone Trust relies entirely on donations for it's survival and effective operation.

From the start all the costs of setting up the organisation have been borne by the founding Trustees and Swifstone's Founding Friends.
We need to receive donations to meet the costs of insuring and running the vessel and basic administrative expenses.

We now urgently need funds for a major project which will create a permanent home for Swiftstone and other heritage vessels, making them fully accessible to a wider public and creating display space for unique documents, photos and artefacts which are not currently available to the public.

e-mail Lorna to find out how you can help

Friends will receive regular information about the Trust's activities and various opportunities to get involved, both afloat and on dry land! Plus a free listing in our Supporters section for your own website.

Swiftstone's Friends support us in a variety of ways:

  • financial - an annual subscription or one-off donation, all helps towards the running of the boat, general expenses and publication of information leaflets
  • in-kind - donations of equipment, facilities and 'consumables' (from paper to diesel) are extremely helpful and save time and effort in fundraising to buy these necessities

    and most importantly...

  • time & skills - some people have specialist skills to offer, engineers, crew, researchers, webmasters (!) etc. but everyone one can help out in some way, handing out information leaflets to the public at events for instance, or distributing publicity material to riverside pubs maybe!

If you are interested in supporting The Swiftstone Trust or becoming involved in our activities please contact us by clicking here. For Membership of the Friends we ask a £20 donation (reduced for concessions) all funds go directly to the costs of running the organisation
